De tweede ‘Hero of Football’ is Danilo, amateur speler bij VV Kethel Spaland in Schiedam.
Hij wordt gevraagd om mee te spelen in een nieuw vriendenteam. Omdat hij net uit de kast is, denkt hij dat hij niet mee mag doen omdat zijn team genoten hem niet zullen accepteren als homo in het team.
Maar niets is minder waar. Voor zijn team maakt het namelijk niks uit.

Als hij maar blijft scoren. In een ontmoeting met de Belgische prof speler Dries Mertens
wordt bij Danilo nog eens duidelijk dat niks je in de weg mag zitten als je de top wilt bereiken in de voetbal.

He was asked to play with friends in a new football team. He just came out and his expectation was that because of his sexuality, he could not join the team. But for his friends it didn’t matter as long as he continued scoring the goals.

Danilo met the Belgian professional player Dries Mertens, and during that meeting it was clear for him that nothing could stand in his way to reach the top in football.
